a soundtrack to summer 17

This summer has been quite eventful for me. If it was studying for finals or relaxing at the beach in Sicily and Crete, music accompanied me wherever I went. (Photo credits go to my wonderful brother who took this amazing underwater shot of me in Greece.) In order document the songs that were there for me through tick and thin, I have been creating monthly playlists for nearly a year now. To commemorate this, I decided to make a collective summer playlist with my favourite songs from each month.

What have been your go-to songs this summer? Leave your answer in the comment section below! I would love to hear some song suggestions to listen to this Autumn.

*Side note: By clicking on the month (title), you will be redirected to an extended monthly playlist on my Spotify.

  1. I played a looot of Rihanna this summer, but by far my summer theme song was Attention by Charlie Puth. Fleurie is an incredible artist, she’s not really well-known by the media but she’s amazing.

    1. Good one by charlie puth! And I will check Fleurie out, I actually enjoy listening to more unknown artists because it feels so much more special – is that weird? What kind music does she do? (genre-wise)

      1. I’d probably say Fleurie is alternative. It’s really eerie and cinematic- almost like a modern art museum? I know what you mean by unknown artists feeling special- I love having music that’s kind of ‘my music’. 🙂
