Adventures in Scotland / summer 18 travel diary

Following my lake holiday, my family and I packed our bags and flew out to Scotland for a week to stay at my grandparent’s little cottage by the sea. It was a nice and much-needed change of scenery and I enjoyed the time I had, visiting family and catching up, spending lazy days at the beach and exploring the country. I thought I’d share a quick photo diary of some of the best memories:
1
We visited Glamis castle, where the queen’s mother spent her childhood growing up. It was such a fun daytime trip and we all really enjoyed it! Here’s a picture of my mum and I infront of the castle.

*trying to look intrigued by the nature and failing miserably* (this was still on castle grounds)

Whenever my family and I visit, we like to spend as much time on the beach as possible, strolling next to the sea or even going in for a quick dip if we’re feeling adventurous!

We went on a boat trip to see the bridges of Edinburgh and actually ended up seeing the castle where a part of Outlander was shot at!

Here’s the castle from a distance.
