I published a magazine!

Here it is – the announcement I have been dying to tell you all about.

Magazines have always occupied a special place in my heart. I used to collage my own out of cut-outs from existing ones. Once I learned how to use a computer, I would make them digitally and print them out for friends and family.

When I first started blogging, I didn’t see it as something collaborative, but more as something to do individually. That changed drastically as I became more and more aquainted with the blogging community. I quickly came to realize that it was all about supporting each other and making it a collaborative effort. This realisation is what first inspired the idea for this magazine.

For the past year I have been turning this idea of mine into a reality. From coming up with a concept / name to contacting various creatives and asking them to submit some of their work, I created something I can be proud of. And though it is not perfect, I have come to appreciate that creativity is a process and that the pleasure in creating should always stand in the forefront.

  12. Congratulations!!!! I am so proud of you and your team!! The magazine looks fantastic, it reminds me a lot of Rookie Mag which I adore. I’m also a big fan of the poetry section too, you don’t see that often in magazines so it’s a nice touch 🙂

  13. Congratulations! I remember doing a similar thing when I was younger but with a newsletter where I would write celebrity updates and send them to all my friends and family… I clearly needed more things to occupy my time with! xx
