Well damn. This is the first time I’ve been nominated for something since I stopped tap dancing. And before you say anything or read the sentence again, yes, you did read correctly – I used to tap dance.
This award is amazing because it is basically about showing appreciation for the creativity and hard work people put into the content of their blogs. It’s still a pretty surreal thing to think about, that you, the person reading these very words right now, are real. What are the odds that you have stumbled across exactly this blog?! When I first started out blogging, I could have never imagined that people would actually enjoy reading my thoughts. So thank you to my readers, old and new. I do hope you stick around for a little longer 🤗
Of course, I wouldn’t be writing this if a certain someone hadn’t nominated be in the first place. A massive thank you goes to Joana of My Gigantic Thought Bubble – your words inspire me to dream bigger everyday. Joana wrote a set of five questions for her five nominees, so here are my answers:
What do you think is the true meaning of life?
Okay wow – straight to the deep stuff I see! To me, life means to experience, to question and to just simply be.
If you could bring back one person from the dead who would it be and why?
I think it would be David Bowie. I discovered my love for him only this year – a year too late 😦 To have the opportunity to see him perform live just one time, would be a dream come true. His music is what gets me out of bed in the morning, what keeps me happy during the day and what puts me to sleep at night.
What is your happiest memory?
I think some of the happiest memories I have are the summers I spent at my grandparents farm in the countryside. I was on so many adventures there as a kid, I feel like I really got in touch with nature. I still feel really grounded and at peace when I’m there; but those feelings I got when I was there as a kid… it’s unlike anything I have ever felt since.
If you were given the power to be anyone for a day who would you be and why?
Does my cat Nala count? She’s strong-willed and really independent. When she’s not eating or sleeping she’s always outside, exploring.
Complete the sentence: “To be unique is to be…”
…constantly surprising yourself. It is to question, to create, to unapologetically be yourself.
Definitely check out Joana’s blog – it’s just as thought provoking as her questions 😉
In my time of blogging, I have been fortunate enough to connect with and come across some really unique and interesting bloggers out there.
1. Thank your nominator
2. Answer the questions that they have given
3. Nominate 5-10 other blogs (and let them know)
4. Set questions for your nominees
The rules dictate that I must come up with some questions of my own for my nominees but I want to extend that list – to you, my readers. I would be so happy to get to know you better. Please do feel free to answer at least one of these questions in the comments below.
Which song would you currently pick to be the theme song of your life?
What would you like to learn in the next few years?
What color describes your personality the best?
What did you want to be when you were a kid?
How have the life events you have experienced influenced your creativity and ability?
