BLACK OUT

black and white stars cross her vision
and suddenly the world seems incredibly
s i m p l e
compared to the complexity of colour
that confronts her adjusting eyes
once opened again.

  1. Interesting way if writing ‘simple’, I literally read it like a meme.

    A thing I don’t get is has the poet closed their eyes, and then they see the stars and the blackness? I just sort of interpreted it like that cos it seemed to make sense and was the most poetic
