Monthly Music: march 19

Hello friends of the Internet,

welcome back to another installment of Monthly Music!

Though this month’s playlist definitely doesn’t beat February’s in my eyes (IT WAS SO GOOD GUYS I’M TELLING YOU, I still have a music hangover from it), I still really enjoyed discovering all of these songs, some old, some new; They make up for a playlist suitable for both sunny and rainy days. I hope you enjoy!

And of course, I would love to get some recommendations for my April playlist from you. What songs have you been loving as of late? (tell this desperate soul at once, I command you!)

Let me just say right off the bat: delicate creature is one hell of a song. I have had this song in my head for WEEKS. It has such a catchy tune to it, the lyrics are easy to follow and overall it emits an incredibly relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

Never Gonna Give You Up by The Black Keys

The Black Keys are an old favouritue of mine, a band I always love to rediscover over time. When I heard this song, I was blown away. I LOVE IT. The sound, the vocals, everything. Little tip: I loved listening to this song in the shower this month.

Lost in Space by Netherfriends, Flip Phone

Lost in Space is definitely an unusual favourite but it’s well-deserved. Netherfriends is an extremely unknown artist I discovered in 2016 or 2017 (not quite sure). Some of his music I like, some of it isn’t my taste. So when my Release Radar playlist from Spotify informed me that he had dropped a new song, I was intrigued and decided to give it a listen.

The first thing that struck me is that this is a song so completely different from his usual style of music. There are no lyrics or vocals, it promises you the title: a song that makes you feel like you are endlessly floating in space, contemplating your life and your existence.

wish you were gay by Billie Eilish

I Mean…. we all knew that Billie’s new album was going to be good, but was I expecting every song to be so. freaking. good.? NO. Which is why when the album came out, I was nearly in tears at the creativity, vision and unter uniqueness of the whole damn thing.

Headfucked by Shy Girls

Headfucked by Shy Girls is a song hard to get out of your head once you’e listende to it. At one point I had this song running in a loop for a full day when I was studying and I had such a blast. Honestly, who knew studying could be so fun with the right music?

Little hint: I actually have a little video for you guys coming out very soon where I used this song! ARE YOU EXCITED? I know I am.
