Monthly Music: november 17

Oh, how time flies. Can anyone believe that there’s only one month to go until we hit 2018? Crazy. November has been one hell of a month and if I had to describe the past few weeks with one word it would be exhaustion. That’s probably the reason I listened to a lot of upbeat music – to keep me awake!

What have you been listening to this month?

To listen to the songs, click on a song title in blue and you will be redirected to the YouTube video. You can also visit my Spotify for more: As always, I will leave the full playlist embedded below.

1

Character Flaws – Obvious Creature
Sun King (Remastered) – The Beatles
If I Could Play the Piano – Ralph Castelli
Trapped in Your Universe – Fat Camp
One Shot – Mighty Oaks

FEATURED SONG:

Character Flaws is one of the songs I listened to when in need of sleep. Although I was tired all the time, I was also turning into a full-blown insomniac this month. This track by Obvious Creature helped me a lot this month and has a very pleasant and relaxing vibe.

Sensitivity – Wort-Tin
Someday – The Strokes
King Franco Picasso – D.D Dumbo
Satisfaction (Saturday Club / 1965) – The Rolling Stones
Chronic Sunshine – Cosmo Pyke
Twist It, Shake It, Rock & Roll – Trudy and the Romance
Immigrant Song – Led Zeppelin
way it goes – Hippo Campus
I Will – Camp Howard
Wavy Gravy – Okey Dokey
Warm Honey – Willow

FEATURED SONG:

It was hard to choose a favourite in this category because I love so many of These songs to death. I decided to go with Sensitivity by Wort-Tin though because it is the first song I added in my November Playlist and definitely set the tone for songs to follow. I actually danced around a lot to this tune while washing the dishes. It is also a song that got a ton of use when I was getting ready in the morning and in a good mood. Songs like this just make me want to jump on my bed.

2

Good Looking – Suki Waterhouse
Wait – M83
My Tears Are Becoming a Sea – M83
Gap in the Clouds– Yellow Days
Zombies – Childish Gambino
Bloom – The Paper Kites
We Go Home Together – Mount Kimbie, James Blake
Ghostmother – Moderat
One Way – 6LACK feat. T-Pain

FEATURED SONG:

This is definitely my most listened to song of the month. Who knew model turned actress Suki Waterhouse can also sing? I was blown away by Good Looking, I love her voice and the atmosphere it creates. It has a very vintage feeling to it, something that makes me sentimental. (Unfortunately the music video hasn’t been released on YouTube yet, but the video above is a short teaser. You can find the full song on Spotify.)
